  • t83-1 trans - what's it out of?

I have a T83-1 Studebaker trans and was wondering what year did it come from. What model did it come out of? It looks different than the three speed out of my 35 Dic. Thanks, Tim

Many of us have Borg Warner: T-85, T-86, T-89, T-90 and T-96 3 Speeds and with Overdrive and
T-98 Truck 4 Speeds from Post-War Vehicles, but few if any T-83's, they must be pretty OLD or not Studebaker.

I had not heard of a T-83 so I Googled it and not much came up. Like Rich said it must be pretty old or not a Studebaker part.

Tim, welcome to the Forum! Hopefully you will be able to ID your trans.

I changed your post title a bit. Please be sure to make your post titles as descriptive as you can - if you're seeking advice, looking for answers, looking for parts, whatever - please make sure people know what you're looking for! You'll get more viewers that wey.

          Cheers!
