Transmission / Overdrive: Overdrive cable fit

Will a 1959-60 Lark V8 overdrive cable with corresponding cable housing fit a 1962 Lark V8? My housing is all messed up do to the ham fisted mechanic that worked on the before I got in and completely messed up the overdrive cable.

Russ Ware of Studebaker Parts has a complete unit just up the road in Gilbert and if it will work I will send for it.

You are getting Lazy Bob! You KNOW where the answer is: Group 732A Pg. 227.

You need a 1547628 for a '59-'60 Lark VIII.

The '61-'63 O.D. Cable Assembly is 1547631 you takes you chances on the Length since that IS the only difference between them, using the wrong one.

Thanks Rich. I don't have a Chassis/Parts Manual so your information is so helpful. I am going to get the car up in the air this coming week and need to solve two problems: the cable and why the car won't move when the clutch is out. I have a feeling the two are related.
