I had duals installed on my '55 Prez. today and the driver's side is
a little lower than the passenger side. Did Studebaker make a double
hump crossmember for the transmission?

I don't think you need a double hump transmission crossmember (although that is possible)...the lowest crossmember is the wing shaped body support that goes under the front of the doors from side to side and attaches to the frame. GT Hawks (and maybe earlier Hawks) had two humps in this crossmember for dual exhausts. It should be a bolt in to your car.

No. It goes over on one side, under on the other.
