Lot of people talking about using Ford wheels.so they can go with big fat tires. The cars weren't designed for the incresed footprint of a radial tire so I won't go larger than a 205 R 75 on a 5" rim. IF YOU USE A FORD RIM USE FORD LUG NUTS!!!!! They are beefier and they are made to fit the somewhat larger hole in a Ford rim. Using the smaller Stude lug nut could result in a serious mishap. They are readily available from Dorman. And they do come with left hand threads for those 50's cars
