View Full Version : Reproduction C/K Gas Tank Update

As many have seen in the Turning Wheels ad, Stephen Allen's has been in the process of having C/K gas tanks reproduced. We received a sample tank a few months ago, installed it in a '61 Hawk, filled it full of gas, and, well.. We couldn't find anything to complain about.

They're galvanized steel and powder coated black. We decided to make an exact replica of the 1958-64 Hawk tank, earlier models will require slight alterations of the fuel outlet.

We've been told to expect them sometime in September. Introductory price will be $395 plus ground shipping. Give us a call or drop us a note if you'd like to be put on the wait list.

GREAT looking Tank! :!:

I will be an easy task to reroute the Fuel Line on '56 & '57's from the Left Top to the Right Front and similar easy changes for '53 to '55 Fuel Lines.

Another great example of what our fantastic vendors do for us. I am sure it takes a lot of investment to make this happen. Thanks to everyone that supports our vendors and helps make investments like this happen.

Will you be supplying the copper crush washers for the sender unit as well...?

Look good in the photo - how about a photo of the other side.

You might like to think about sending a mail to the 56J Register for inclusion on the next Newsletter...

How much for a 57 Golden Hawk?

I believe he stated above that this tank will work with minor changes for all “Loewy Coupes”, including your Golden Hawk, from 1953-1964. $395 plus shipping.

Very timely as I need one of these, mine is rotted. I called and put my name on the list.
