      Also depends on Front Door or Rear Door, assuming you only have 2 Doors, yes the upper is right.

        The picture in the glovebox “Accessories” booklet always show the curved side up, as in your lower picture.

          Some Cars and Years have Mouldings too close, so on "Some" or most Jerry could be right.

            Curved side down! Long/flat side up. Your top one is correct. Of course it could be up to personal preference, but I'm not sure it would lay against the door correctly with the long side down (curved side up).

              The purpose of the item is to prevent scratches from finger nails and rings. That means that the larger, curved section would have to be up to function as intended (lower one in picture).

                  That's Studebaker for you use a early 53-55 door handle in the 63 book picture, Lou how were they when you removed them?

                    Curved side was down when I got the car.....I am now convinced that the curved side should be up....

                      I think it looks better with the curved side down, but if it was my car I guess I'd do it the way the factory did it.
