  • Super hawk?

Is this serial number for a super hawk 63V298II
    Dwayne Jacobson

I don't know if it IS the real deal, but I do know that it is 63V29811, not 63V298II.

UPDATE: OH, OH! It is a Super Red, Full Package, R2, Power Shift, with: Pwr. Disc Brakes, Twin Traction, H.D. Springs, H.D. Shocks and Engine JTS1595 shipped to Marple Revere, MA.

It has "Bkts", Traction Bar Brackets? This one is not explained and should be.

I thought it was Bucket Seats, but a lot of Hawks have no Bkts. so I don't know what it means.

WHERE do I send the cash?

It's here, in the Virgil Marple collection: https://classiccarsleftbehind.com/ca...v8-automatic/?

And sold - that was quick... Interesting for sale web site - have 6 1958 Packards, including 2 wagons, and the 4th Avanti II produced...

Yeah.Another one of the cars so many said were way overpriced.
Amazing what happens when people actually inquire about a car.

Yes, those would be OK IF there are also Welds.

Does anyone know what this "Marple" thing is all about? Do you have to be from Minn. or Mass. to understand?

Maybe Virgil's Family was famous and Had Towns etc. named after them?

Or MAYBE Virgil just HAD to have this Car because it happened to be sold to Marple Revere, Mass. (WHATEVER that means).

Maybe if you had read any of the threads about him you would understand.
I'm not going to post any of them.Look them up.
I posted a huge thread about the collection being sold.
You might even gain some knowledge reading his obituary thread

Hmm.......I try to read all the threads here, but I also missed the Marple connection. Guess I won't loose any sleep over it though.

I was mostly referring to "MARPLE" as in Post #2:

                            "shipped to Marple Revere, MA."

Of course I have heard of the late Virgil Marple's Collection Sale.

If you look in the parts & chassis books, you'll see that Revere was a New England depot...... (near Boston)
