  • Electrical: Temp gauge connections

Some time back I had my temp gauge out and when I reinstalled it I could not get it to work. As a workaround I put an aftermarket gauge under the dash until I could get around to sleuthing the original gauge. Well, that day has come. I’ve removed the front seat so I can get under the dash and removed the temp gauge. Before I go further I’d like to ask the experts if my connections are correct. The wiring diagram doesn’t indicate wiring color but I have an orange coming from the sender and a white w/black stripe from the accessory side of the ign switch. See the photo for reference. Thanks in advance.

Solved! For others, the connections in my photo are correct (Thanks Brad Bez). Clean connections and a good ground and my original temp gauge is working fine again..

Thanks, this is was what I was asking about last week! One question, was there more than one wire connected to the 12v post? -Jim
