My friend Bob Belling finished up his six year long restoration, just in time to have his car at the 2018 Greenwich Concours d' Elegance, yesterday. He received the Chief Judge's Award. Many people were interested in hearing about and viewing, this very beautiful and very rare Studebaker.

That appears to be an excellent, and totally authentic restoration!!

It is truely an authentic as can be. The original pattern of material for the interior was not available. Bob found a woman who wove it for him on a hand loom. It took her 3 years.

That Land Cruiser looks sensational. Bob should be proud of his outstanding efforts.

Very rare when new and much more so today (201 built includes both early and late series). The car was a total basket case when he started. Glad to see it completed. Congratulations to Bob. Wish he had it done when I did the 1934-35 Land Cruiser article for Collectible Automobile (Dec. 2002). It would have made for a nice feature car!

Absolutely fabulous, Bob. Congratulations on the award, but more important I bet is the feeling of satisfaction for a job well done.
