A new listing for 3 days for a 58 Golden Hawk which has no reserve and all the pictures are from a previous Moto Exotica listing which had sold. No location, no interior or engine pictures.
Just lots of red flags.

When I looked at the Ebay listing my computer mad a siren sound and the screen began flashing like crazy. Location? USA. That's a good start. Look at they seller's feedback. He's had 10 transactions and there's no information on any of them. Has anyone written to him to ask what the deal is? Can I say "suspicious"~?

Similar listing format to the Avanti recently discussed.

The "seller" is listed as being in South Carolina and on ebay for four years.

There WAS one interior photo but none of the engine. Yes, I would tread carefully with this one. In fact I would want to see the car in person before venturing a bid.

And now it is gone from Ebay.

Kind of makes you wonder (again) if he was monitoring this Forum....

I sent a letter to the seller and asked for several photos and whether he had accepted an offer off the eBay site ... and we agreed on whether my offer was tempting and he is ready to ship the car outside the continent ... of course the car is attractive but the speed of his reaction carries many suspicions. These are some of the pictures he sent....

But it is on an incorrect Group battery.
Notice the severe restriction/kink in the driver's side exhaust pipe.

You sent a letter nine months later?? How did you know where to send it?

:o Not really, Gary; if you rotated that battery 180 degrees in the tray, the negative post would be toward the front and toward the engine, as it should be.

It is installed incorrectly, however. BP

Thanks for the correction. I guess that I did not look that closely. I just noticed that the terminals were on the fender side and not the engine side.
