My '64 Studebaker Champ P/U was manufactured with DEV. 5605, which means it was equipped with an alternator. It has a four tang external regulator (Delco-Remy). The tangs are marked F, 1, 2, 3, 4. What do those correspond to--like, which one is the armature, for example?

Thanks,

RES

Sounds like the alternator and regulator is special. Need the manufactures model number of each item.

Yep, Special Order.
The info should be in the Truck Shop Manual for the optional H.D. Alternators and Generators.

Seems like we did this once before. I don't remember if a wiring diagram was found. If you Google a Chevrolet alternator diagram from the same year it will show where all the wires go but they probably won't be the same color as Studebaker.
