  • Bettys on the go

Today marks 1 week in the back and forth daily grind to work and 575 miles since her maiden voyage back into service. Aside from the fuel leak at the carb, no issues and she'd doing 20mpg (I top it off every night). This morning on the way to work I was pulled over and got a warning for speeding. In an ohv6... is that possible? guess so..lol. She tends to be very persnickety when the temps fall below 40 degrees. I have to let her sit and run about 5 minutes before taking off. If I don't, she stalls at stoplights.

I am glad that you are getting good service out of your car. Are the choke and idle speed properly set?

Going through a school zone? Probably was not speeding - policeman just wanted to get a better look at the car...

Might check the accerator pump as well. I am getting too spoiled with newer cars and do not think much about trying to start my daily when it is 15 or even 5 outside.

        And very nice looking car.

It was coming out of a 35 zone, clocked 59. Yes I would agree on the wanted to get a closer look comment. I've been fiddling with the float/mixture and choke itself. This is an RBS carb.. kinda figure this goes along with it.
