The Comfort Suites in South Bend is sold out for the weekend of the Michiana Swap Meet in May. If anybody has to cancel a room there, please let me know.

I got my room at the new one south side right off the freeway the hang out for the bad boys.

They just put up a new hotel and casino west of the fairgrounds. They may have rooms available but they are not cheap. It is 4 Winds hotel and casino.

It's a nice casino. They do not have table games.

Peter , if you need some suggested hotels in the area you can pm me . We stay in Mishawaka, there are lots of good hotels in the area and lots of sdcers stay in that area.

I have been most satisfied with the Inn at St. Mary's (IIR the name correctly). They are north of SB, but I would rather drive a few miles for a better motel/hotel than most of them in SB.

Don't worry too much. We never book a room in advance. Since Notre Dame doesn't have big events that weekend there are always plenty of rooms, especially on the east side of town.
