I'm looking for a Carter original or acceptable after market of that era.

I have on hand an old aftermarket no name fuel pump, probably airtex from the 1970's.

And yes, I would install a modern diaphragm immune to to the effects of today's lousy gas!

What say you all?

TIA

They have rebuild kits for every fuel pump made, I think. Great instructions and the parts are compatible with today's excuse for gasoline.
The NOS one on Ebay is going to need a rebuild too, just to bring it up to date with today's fuel.

As soon as you see that AC on the box you know it is aftermarket, even though it IS NORS from the 50's or 60's and without Ethanol resistant rubber, it is NOT a OEM Carter, it was not the best in the Day when it was New, and certainly not Today.

On the "Other Hand" IF the rebuild kits FIT the Old AC Pump that Airtex copied and the Airtex, it would still be a Notch better than a New Airtex. ;)

I believe the Kits only fit "REAL" OEM Carters.
