The hood ornament is the only part, that actually resembles anything Studebaker, and it would have only been used after '63 or '64. The rest bears only a vague resemblance to the '57 - '61 Hawks. The hood ornament may have just been added later, by someone who noticed the similarity?

I would love to have that carnival ride Hawk. I had already thought that I would attempt to build a 'Hawkette' to copy the 'Larkette' that used to be available. That body would be a great start, with a new, self propelled chassis. At the moment, I am spending all my spare time, and nickels, trying to finish my real Hawk before Tacoma.
