  • Six cylinder crankshaft ID - Any ideas?

Have a 6 cyl crankshaft with the casting number 1552368 on it. Anyone have a way to cross reference it to a part number?

    Thanks!

    Champion or Commander?
If you can't cross-reference that number, I think I'd measure the throws?

I try to record every casting number I find, but don't have this one. I agree with identifying it by journal sizes. Sorta suspecting late 245.

That 1552368 casting number is New enough to be a '61 to '64 OHV Six Crankshaft.

The Casting Numbers are usually very close to the Engineering Part Number, and the 1552005 Part Number '61-'63S Y1 Taxi ONLY Crankshaft.

UPDATE: Matt, does it have threaded Holes for the Crankshaft to Flywheel SCREWS as on a Std. 170 Six, or open holes for Bolts like a V8?

The '61-'63 6 Cyl. Taxi and late '63/'64 5E/10E Trucks use a V8 Flywheel & 10 1/2 Inch Clutch so the H.D. Crank P/N 1552005 includes a Pilot Bushing as it is not in the Flywheel.
