  • Brakes: 1961 Emergency Brake Handle

The emergency brake handle on my 1961 Lark is half broken off. Are you able to replace just the handle, or must you replace the whole plunger? If you can just replace the handle, how do you get the old one off and the new one on? Thanks.

Studebaker International page 257. They are held on by a
    split pin.

What Paul said. The handle is held on with a roll pin. It's easier to replace if you go ahead and remove the rest of the broken handle first. This exposes the roll pin better and makes it easier to get out with
visegrip pliers. I did the one on my 61 not long ago.
