Yes, you read the title right. Studebaker has now been meme-ified. Whether or not that's a good thing, I suppose it means that we are gaining more public recognition. Look on the bright side!

Sorry for the wacky sizes, they're out of my control!

On another note, check out this pretty clean 1964 Cruiser I found in New England Craigslist, it looks like a definite candidate for a daily!

I think that's some thing one of the Muppet Caricatures would say/or just a noise made ?

What's a meme?

While the term meme was originally introduced by evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins in 1976, it has now come to mean any visually transmitted cultural symbol or social idea. They are infectious in the online community and they are used regularly by my generation (the MILLENIALS) for either humor or something more serious. The standard font to use with memes, by the way, is Impact.

Guess I've had my head buried in the trunk of a Studebaker, because I never heard of the term meme before either.

That looks like a reasonably nice Cruiser if you can tolerate the seat upholstery choice and the diesel fuel that it supposedly runs on :). I note that it has power disc brakes with a dual brake system conversion.
The listing/ad probably got lost with your Memes posting. I believe that it would have been better to separate these into two postings.

tmi,tmi!!!

Sorry, I just tried to clear up some confusion. I realize that this forum is largely occupied by people at least twice my age so this post was really more of an experiment than anything else.

Don't worry, I got it. We could use a few Studebaker memes around here... The question is, is the world ready?

Meme: An element of a culture or system of behavior that may be considered to be passed from one individual to another by nongenetic means, especially imitation.

This image was used in a TV commercial for some coffee, starring George Clooney. In it the entire car was shown and it was a Studebaker.

Don't be sorry Jake. It was just my lame ass attempt to be funny. Also, most of us are THREE times your age.

I fit the "at least" part because I am closer to five times your age. I do appreciate you and your posts.
To me, you have an excellent command of the English language and not just for someone of your generation. Of course, I mainly appreciate your interest in Studebakers. I have been wondering if you were home schooled, attended a private school or were the product of a public school (If this is out of line, feel free to ignore this).
I am also someone whose intent is often misread in the written word.

I did appreciate your kind comments and enjoyed reading them. To answer your question, I had my middle school (K-8) in a private Catholic institution where half the teachers were nuns. Now in high school, it is a charter school which is essentially a highly selective public school. I believe it is important to get a balance of cultures and these have provided the perfect contrast.

I'm thinking that the misidentified car with Gonzo is the '47ish Ford station wagon that the Muppets picked up at Milton Berle's used car dealership in The Muppet Movie.
