I like the rocker covers. Did Weiand make these for Studebaker V8s in the '50s or were they intended for some other make and 'adapted' to the Stude engine?

I believe that is the same roadster that was displayed at our Winter Meet at the Petersen a few years ago (along with a Studebaker powered deuce 2 door). Yup, it was at our meet in March 2013.

They will also fit Olds V8 of that era.The two blank spots are for the Olds studs and nuts.

That looks like Tom Branch's. Here are pictures of it on the salt in 2003:

Are those really quirky AUUs or WWs on top of that?

If that could well be. I was at Bonneville that year and spent some time looking over that car. Our pit was only a short distance from where these pictures were taken.

They appear to be Bendix Stromberg Model WW rear draft Top type, but the Top Half's do not look like Studebaker.

The carbs & manifold probably came from Standard Surplus many years ago.

The manifold, most probably; the carbs, no one has yet positively identified those.

It looks a LOT better with the white walls and wheel covers; even if it doesn't have paint on it.
