Been looking at vendors in vain for a kit for a 1956 Lark engine in a 1949 Champ. Any ideas?

Then and Now Automotive. www.then-now-auto.com They have it all and great service. All kits are compliant with the stuff being pumped from gas pumps nowadays.

You will need to give any one of the Fuel Pump Kit Suppliers MORE correct info about the Engine Year type, # of Cylinders etc.
You may have a '59-'63 Lark the earliest was '59, and it could be a 6 or an 8.

All "Then and Now Auto" need is the brand and model # of the pump.

If your carb is an original type Carter pump, there's an alpha/numerical number on the mounting flange. Dave Thiebault has kits and rebuilding service. He's on the vendors list noted above.

I see that Hal does not sell ANY Repair Kits for Carters, but he will rebuild them.

I will add that Then and Now includes the best instruction sheet I have ever come across.

I don't see Dave listed there or is he under another name?

The correct spelling of his name is; Dave Thibeault.
He has a business card ad in the back of every "Turning Wheels".

All my Turning Wheels are now in the garage in Arizona or sitting in the post office box there.

Thanks Tim ! I put his # in my phone. Looks like I might have him go through the 4 bbl. carb on my 68 LeMans.

Warren, as a matter of practice I send my carbs and fuel pumps to Dave whenever I get a new car. He can do much better than me in my garage. They come back looking like brand new. To date he’s refurbished them for my 57 Commander, 63 R2 Hawk and 51 Landcruiser.

Hal Haughton did an excellent job for me and the fuel pump works great.
