I'll bet someone here can use this tranny alignment tool.
It's listed for the 1950 Commander and Land Cruiser, but I wonder if it wouldn't fit other years also?

I agree, and high shipping is what often stops me from buying things on ebay.
Shipping costs, plus the fact the post office breaks and looses so much of what I bought.

I have two of them and I can tell you they are heavy. They work on any of the DG transmissions including Jaguar and are a necessity when installing a torque converter

As noted in the description.
"Buyer to pay actual shipping and handling charges as determined by shipping calculator. Item is very heavy."
Seller cannot control what the post office or freight company charges for shipping. Send a message and ask what the item weighs packaged in a way to protect it from damage and take that number to the post office and see what the cost would be to ship from you to him.
Half the complaints about high shipping costs are from people that never ship anything,IMHO.
There are sellers who charge way to much and they are easily detected.
I ship daily and the rates have steadily risen. There have been multiple threads on it here.
