View Full Version : SNM e-Mail Model Error

12-16-2017, 09:50 AM
I just received a general distribution e-mail from the SNM that disappointed me. It starts out;
"New Loan on Display at the Museum
A 1963 Studebaker Grand Turismo Hawk".

The SNM should at least get the model name correct. I know the originator of the e-mail may be new and/or unfamiliar with Studebakers, but that is all the more reason to have something like this proofread before distribution.

This may be harsh or critical, but the general public will assume that the SNM is correct on this type of thing. This is not the first that something like this has happened.

Did you tell them about their error?

Of course and before I posted here. I have notified them of other errors in the past and not posted here.

I wonder if you volunteered to proof things for them if they would take advantage of that?

Museum people are usually not car people. They are museum people.
That's why they have docents and historians.
Proof read? Not since spell check came around....
