Paint: 58 Golden Hawk recovered in Hollywood CA

Hello friends! I recently acquired a 1958 Studebaker Golden Hawk. It has been garaged for over 30+ years and look stunning. I got two questions.
1.) I bought it from the son of the original owner. He said this car used to be pink.(it’s Golden right now). After looking at the color options in 1958 I can’t seem to validate this car ever being originally pink. Jewel Beige is the closest to a pink, but looks brown to me. Does anyone have a decent picture of a Jewel Beige for a Hawk? The only one online is brown, unless I am color blind?
2.) the car is in my driveway covered up and I am having a heck of a time finding the right person to revive this car for me. I am looking to make this car mechanically sound. Does anyone have recommendation? I live in Whittier, CA. Is there any connections of mechanics that know these cars and not some hot shot 19 year old. 1. Join SDC as soon as possible and buy the Shop Manual as soon as possible. Studes are amazingly resilient and many have been successfully driven away from thirty years of storage, but not recommended. You'll need advice, parts and service recommendations. Here are a few suggestions.
2. Start with a brake system flush, just to determine the condition. Even in desert SoCal, they usually need wheel and master rebuild and new hoses.
3. Pull the spark plugs, squirt in your favorite solvent and let sit while gathering the rest of the parts.
4. New points, condensor, rotor, cap, wires and plugs.
5. New rubber hoses for the oil pressure gauge and fuel pump.
6. Flush the cooling system
7. Change engine oil and filter, rear axle lube and grease all the fittings shown in the Shop Manual. Repack wheel bearings.
8. Have a transmission shop flush the transmission, torque converter, cooler and lines.
9. Drain and refill the supercharger.

Most things can be fixed if some ham-fisted clod has not already damaged it beyond repair. Be careful who you hire.

Welcome to the SDC Forum! That is a nice and desirable car.

The two ways to determine the original color is to look at the outside of the bottom of the glovebox. There should be a paper label there with the paint information. If that is missing, you can get a copy of the original production order from the Studebaker National Museum. This will give much information about the car, including original color.

EDIT: You may not be aware that there were only 878 1958 Golden Hawks built. It is a rare car, especially in that condition.

UPDATE: I have been informed that they are Really Swamped, so if you want it before the end of say: 2018, it might be better to look elsewhere.

Here are a couple of Jewel Beige '58's, a President and a Commander. While it is NOT Pink, it's close!
