Hello friends! I recently acquired a 1958 Studebaker Golden Hawk. It has been garaged for over 30+ years and look stunning. I got two questions.
1.) I bought it from the son of the original owner. He said this car used to be pink.(it’s Golden right now). After looking at the color options in 1958 I can’t seem to validate this car ever being originally pink. Jewel Beige is the closest to a pink, but looks brown to me. Does anyone have a decent picture of a Jewel Beige for a Hawk? The only one online is brown, unless I am color blind?
2.) the car is in my driveway covered up and I am having a heck of a time finding the right person to revive this car for me. I am looking to make this car mechanically sound. Does anyone have recommendation? I live in Whittier, CA. Is there any connections of mechanics that know these cars and not some hot shot 19 year old. Please email me, in eager to get this Studebakeron the road and in shows for people to enjoy. Glad to be a part of the Studebaker family. Zjtorren@tiu.edu
