  • Meets in Omaha area?

I'm so out of the circles, but are there any national or regional meets within 200 miles of Omaha coming up in the next year or three?

I did really dig the national meet in Omaha in '06 and the two regionals that I hit earlier.
1963 Champ "Stu Bludebaker"- sometimes driver
1957 Silver Hawk "Josie"- picking up the pieces after an unreliable body man let it rot for 11 years from an almost driver to a basket case
1951 Land Cruiser "Bunnie Ketcher" only 47M miles!
1951 Commander Starlight "Dale"- basket case
    1947 Champion "Sally"- basket case
1941 Commander Land Cruiser "Ursula"- basket case

Only other meet close to Omaha will be the Upper Mississippi Valley Zone meet in Iowa City next August. It is listed in the current TW whats happening section. About a 250 mile drive.

Went to the RAINEST meet of my life at the amusement park in Omaha 30-35 years ago.
          Anybody remember the details?
          Summertime I think.

Could that be the '79 meet in Peony Park? It's bit of a shame that the place is long gone, paved over for a Hy-Vee and other business.

There could have been other meets that I missed out on between '79 and '92 or 3 and '92 and '06 because I sort of dropped out of the club or got sidetracked by life.

Entirely possible; I have pictures of the cars angle parked on asphalt with tree/bush dividers.
...and rain drops, lots of raindrops!

Since it is 9+ months away they haven't posted the information yet. It is mentioned in the minutes of the club meetings. It will definitely will be in Custer, SD over the Labor Day weekend 2018. As I said you will be able to follow the progress using the link as they prepare.
