Lost me at the back end. Maybe a Stude tailgate and lights from a Champ? The smoothed back just doesn't add anything to the car

I've been casually shopping for one of these for a while. I have an inquiry in on another one, might check this one out if the other doesn't work out.

I would have to get rid of the green stripes, and find some nicer wheels. I like the Caddy tail lights better than the original ones. I think something could be done to rectify the tailgate "problem."

Just my opinion, but vertical Caddy taillights are for lazy people with no imagination.

500hp!!!
And no engine pics???
Lol, as someone who has actually built a couple 500hp engines, the time and money involved for a legitimate 500hp engine build is rather high. And they are not proud enough to include one pic?? I don't think so.

Oh I don't know the caddy lights aren't all that bad. The original elcamino lights were in the bumper, right?. That seems ok too.

I am not in to customs but I kinda like this one. Well executed in my opinion.

That is a kit with fiberglass fenders and such that are added to a certain year El Camino.

I know this "kit" has been around for a while. I would hope no original Studebaker parts have been injured in this production. That said, are any of the kit's front clip parts dead ringers for the originals?

One of our members who does not post as often as he used to has a purple one that is in his avatar, if memory serves.

There is a nice red one with a 350 crate motor here in Sun City that could be bought.

Maybe you are thinking of mine..............

If he was not thinking of yours...I was. My thoughts are that “imitation is the sencerest form of flattery,” and that’s how I view the Studemino! I have attended several meets Jack was driving his Studemino. The car blends in great with all the genuine Studebakers. What really stands out, is Linda and Jack White! Two of the best ambassadors and hardworking SDC members I know.:!:

To me those Caddy tail lights fit the rear end of that particular Studemino just right.

The Caddy lights are fine. The green stripe and blue wheels need to go though!;)
