  • Body / Glass: rear inner fender two door double ender

Is there any how-to or pictures for patching up the rear inner fenders of '47 to '52 two-door car?

I wasn't aware that there were inner fenders for rear two door cars. There are mud guards that go in front of the wheel and actually trap dust that cannot be cleaned out and there is a rear guard that protects the fuel filler on the left side, but that's it as far as I know.

I looked it up again and it's officially called the wheel house and quarter panel. Anyway, I'm interested in welding and patching up the part in yellow, especially the rusted out seam in red.

I am going to have to do some of that too. It would be nice if there was a tutorial, but I think we will have to rely on some generic instructions. I have seen some videos on you tube. At least it won't show when the fender is back on.

Maybe you could post some pictures so we have a better idea of what your looking to do. I think I understand and is close to what I just completed on a k-Body hawk. It's pretty straight forward just cut out where it's rusted, build a patch panel out of about 20-22 gauge tin and weld it in and seal it up good.

It wouldn't hurt to check with parts vendors to see if NOS panels are available.

Here is a pair I sold to a guy up near Montreal a couple years ago, so they are out there.
