  • 1950 Champion Helms bumper guard set NOS front or rear

    For sale a 5 piece HELM accessory bumper guard set for the 1950 Champion. Selling for a handicapped friend with no computer skills. Chrome is like new. No imperfections noted. Missing only the bolts and nuts for mounting. Images show original photo ad and sales letter from Helm. May be the last NOS set in existence? $250 + postage. Email if interested.

    The guard in the crash picture is different. Notice the curved bar that attaches from the upright to the bumper is bolted to the bumper around the end of the bumper. In the Helms picture it bolts to the front bumper bolt. The balls on top of the uprights are very round on the "crashed" guard, on the Helms they are flattened spheres. Not knocking the very nice item you have for sale, just noticing the differences.

      Yup, you are correct. You may have mentioned also that the wrecked car is a Commander. Just posted that image for fun.
