Jeff,
I have a couple for Avanti. But I don't believe they will work on a stock JT/JTS.

Are they not the same??

I believe JT/JTS used "regular" water pump pulleys. I can find no different part numbers in the JT section of the chassis manual. The Avanti pulley is a heavy cast iron affair with 3 grooves. One is for the alternator. The other 2 are for S/C if so equipped. If A/C car, one is unused. The JT/JTS crank damper has a groove on it so the stock water pump pulley and altenator can be used.

Henry, you can run a regular pulley but a JT/JTS factory pulley is 6 5/8 dia so it will spin the pump quicker compared to a 7" regular.
I have one if you want an original.

Be careful in changing out your water pump pulley to the R, smaller diameter, if you have AC. If the AC belt rides on accessory pulley on the water pump you will need to change it too.

Its all about ratios.

If your Crank pulley has various diameter grooves for each of the drive accessories, you need to keep the ratios. You can not spin the water pump faster while keeping the AC the same ratio. It makes a horrible sound.

never seen a cast iron water pump pulley; pump wouldn't last 100 miles with all that weight on it. I want to spin the pump just a bit faster to see it it will run a little cooler on a warm summer day. Not talkin bout the crank pulley. Packard Hawk: if you have one how much do you want for it.?

Jeff,
You could also try the heavy duty 6 blade fan with or without viscous drive. I also have the smaller pulley (non-Avanti) as well as 5, 6 and 7 blade fans. I have 6 blade with or without viscous drive. The 5 and 7 are with viscous drive.

Jeff, I would want 50.00 bucks for it but it might be another 25 bucks shipping from OZ.
You might be able to obtain one from Dave Thibeault.
If you get stuck Pm me and we can work it out.

Is this an Avanti water pump pulley?

We've got a couple of them but I wasn't confident enough to put a part number on them.

Matt, sure looks like it. BTW, SI and your site have an incorrect description for 1563110. This is an aluminun pulley with 2 grooves for A/C cars that came as part of an idle cooling improvement kit referenced in service letter R-1964-4 dated Apr 24, 1964.
Both sites say this is a 3 groove pulley.

This service letter is dated 4 months after the line shut down. I think it is highly unlikely that any Avanti came from the factory with this kit installed.

The kit also came with a new heat send unit. I always wondered which reduced the "temperature" more, the new pulley or the new temperature sensor.

We likely copied the info from SI’s catalog for our inventory file. I’ll make sure it gets fixed. Thanks!

Matt,
You should double check the pulley. I believe Lionel Stone was making some out of aluminum. These may be the ones everyone has for sale. Sure would be nice to know for sure.

Alan,
Can't tell for sure from the pictures - are the grooves different sizes?

64, The belts I run are 1548509 which is 45 1/2" x 13/32" x 38 degree for the alternator/fan. And 1555320 which is 56" x 7/16" x 36 degrees. There are 3 grooves and the pulley is stepped, will put up a pic from the side tomorrow.

Ed,
Thanks. I was always confused since everyone seems to be selling aluminum 3 groove as the pulley from the kit. Mine was installed when I bought the car over 15 years ago and I always assumed it was original.
