Replacing a front shock on 64 hawk with heavy duty gas shock I bought 25 yrs. ago .The number on the shock is 739087,looking at the reference on some sites they have the no.82087 for replacing that shock.What the difference?

The 82087 is a Gabriel Classic Gas H.D. Shock as I and other Studebaker Vendors currently sell.
Your old stock shock probably just a different line of shocks for a different type of driving that USED to be made for Studes. or a rolled newer Number.
If the extended and collapsed Length is close to your old Shocks, and the mounting at the bottom matches they should be fine.Last edited by StudeRich; 09-16-2017, 11:20 AM.StudeRich
