If I can get this video to work, this is a quick look in the Carriage House of the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island:

Very impressive, but despite my best efforts I simply can't find the supercharged '64 Avanti.

Riding in one of those long carriages looks like an elegant way to travel.

There is also a carriage museum on the island that has several Studebaker wagons in the collection (it's next to the butterfly house).
There is also a Studebaker water wagon parked over by the fire house.

BTW.. Don't try to fly into the island airport right now. It has been closed for repairs.

That is because it has been modified.

My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting Mackinac Island a number of years ago. The Grand Hotel was incredible! We felt like we were in a time warp. That brief video is fascinating. Great bunch of beautiful wagons. Thanks for sharing.

My wife and daughter visited the island and the movie "Somewhere in Time" was being filmed. They obtained Chris Reeve's autograph. The island, hotel, and its history were enjoyed.
