Any place I might be able to go for a nos champ grill for my lark?

Or do I just wait for eBay and Craigslist to produce one.

I think there are two on eBay right now. but both are Painted white. I want a chrome one.
I might have to buy it and have it chromed.

Patience, there are folks here who have salvaged many many part cars.

Studebaker International had a few left, the last time I checked. You need to ask. It's not in the catalog.

Last time I was at SI in South Bend they had a new Champ grill

SI has or at least had a NOS white champ one in the showroom.

‚Äčan NOS grille will likely be less expensive than having a plain one chromed.

Brian, do you already have a '61-'63 Front bumper for it, so the Grille does not appear to be almost touching the Bumper? :( With a Champ Grille it may be Below the Bumper.

No, I don't have the bumper. I didn't even know that would be a issue! I might tuck the front bumper alittle. Maybe that will help. Idk. I don't plan on a full restoration type build. More of a resto-mod.

Funny thing is I almost went to south bend today to check out the Studebaker trees...

Maybe I'll go next Saturday and check out SI

South Bend SI is closed to the public. It's being used as a warehouse and is open during special Studebaker events. The Greenfield store is the only one open now.

I remember two vendors at York who had beautiful Champ grills. One had the side grills match. If I ever get a '59 or '60 Lark again I will use these items rather than the stock Lark ones. I really like the look.

The side grills are different too?

Called SI and they don't have a chrome one. And the white one they have in stock is 400$

I probably can swing having one chromed. But it will have to be cheaper then 400 to start!

The side grills for 1961-64 Champs are the same as the '59 Lark side grills, slotted instead of eggcrated like the '60.

Crap. Now I probably have to change them as well!!

Haha I'll have to check it out. Maybe I can luck out and find a complete champ front end.. or I guess 59 lark side grills

The possibilities are certainly not endless but surely you will find a few that are good?

Yeah it's not a big deal. Just something to keep in the back of my mind while search Craigslist and eBay and swap meets.

Studerich, what's a good price for a later bumper. There is one on eBay for 275 now.

I'd say that is in the Ball Park, $200.00 to $300.00 NOS or EXCELLENT used.

Again the "dipped" centers are for 1961 to 1963 Larks. I think they look better than stock on a Stock '59-'60.

66931 IMHO, the Stock '59 (very rare), or the '60 Grille Mesh and Chrome Moulding looks more "fitting" to the style of the Larks than a Champ does.

If your "Custom" includes a Blazer or Bronco 4X4 Frame, maybe it would look Great!

I understand, but I am planning a mild custom build. Stock lark stuff just won't work. I like the muscular look of the champ stuff.

Here is my lark.

6693566936

My custom build will be a nice set of larger wheels, lowered, louvers in the hood, maybe some ghost flames, probably a mustang 2 setup and 9 inch. 6 speed auto. Stuff like that... Lots and lots to be decided yet.

I picked up a champ grill for under $100 in great condition at a swap meet. I say wait until you get to a meet.

I guess I didn't make it clear. I just bought this today. 125 is fine by me.
I also have been to to swap meets in the last few weekends and there was no Studebaker parts to speak of.
