Hope Barry is on high ground, things are very bad in Houston. So far I have been blessed with no flood issues at this point. :(

Thinking about Barry. I know this is not new to him, and he's been through several flooding events. However, this has the potential to be the granddaddy of them all!

Can't imagine what you are facing Barry. Prayers for you, and all in the region.

Talked to Barry on Friday and he didn't seen too concerned. Said they were expecting 20 inches of rain.

I'm 100 miles West of Houston and had an email from Barry today checking on me. Right now we are both very wet but no flooding or damage so far.

Roads near me are impassable, & many homes, businesses & cars are flooded, but we are high & dry here, with elec power functional. Both airports here are closed & no mail delivery since Saturday. I have never seen so much rain, but we dodged most of the high winds. All I have is a very messy yard to clean up but no structural damage or downed trees.

Prayers have been flowing for you and your neighbors. As I'm typing this, our forecast is for the remnants/rain to reach here in a couple of days. We need some rain...but not that much.
Glad you are OK.

Rain has finally stopped here & some roadways are beginning to clear. Many stores, restaurants & other and places of business are still closed but some are beginning to open. Store shelves are nearly bare and gas stations are gouging, making me thankful that I topped off my truck on Fri. morn for 1.99/gal. Schools are closed until Monday & there are still no planes landing or leaving the IAH airport across the street from us. Many homes still have water standing in them and many people will be waiting for a good while to have their power restored. I hope that the postal service & FedEx will resume soon. We are very, very thankful at this time for God's grace & the many prayers on our behalf.

Great stuff Barry!! All our prayers were answered for you, Nick and the others affected. Good luck getting back up and running. What a crazy world as we have been dealing with wildfires.

Barry, I am being told that the death toll is much higher than we are being told at this point. No end to the flooding along Buffalo Bayou as you know and now more evacuations in subdivisions near me this morning. Like you I was born and raised here, never seen anything like this before and I pray I will never see it again in my life time.

Stay Safe, Mark
