OK, I don't know if this has been addressed here already or not, but I'm PO'd with what I just encountered on ebay.
I go there, select "parts & accessories" and then type in "Studebaker" at the prompt. 1450+ items come up! Wow! But wait a minute....... what the hey???? Anything and everything that has the name Commander or Champion now comes up automatically!:(:(:(

What light bulb came up with that idea??? :(:(:(

Every time ebay creates a 'new' page it's worse than the one it replaced. I suppose I'll get used to it, but right now when I check 'Manuals and Literature, Studebaker' every night it's a hassle to get there.

Bob; the computer GEEKS have struck again! I had to do a totally NEW search for Studebaker Cars, and then click "save this search" to get a new search that works! They have totally re-vamped the system, all the colors are now light blue and stuff is DIFFERENT! It's called progress...I think!:(

I other words, you have to delete all of your old saved searches and make new ones on the new system, because the old ones do weird stuff, and bring up NEW car searches etc. UGH! [xx(]

I have one for Studebaker Cars & Trucks, Packard cars, Studebaker Parts and of course "Studebaker", which I rarely use (sorry Billy) it has all the Hats, T shirts, Signs, underwear and sunglasses that I don't need, usually over 1200 of em!

Under the "options" link at the upper right, I chose to go back to the old format, AND I told em what I thought of all the "suggestions" and advertising on the "New" searches!! [^]

My car search has a $300 lower limit, I get no odd entries.

I have a parts search for "Studebaker plus 55" no odd entries.

I haven't changed anything for over two months.

I was just getting ready to post the same thing. I filled out their questionnaire and told them it doesn't work. It is like dipping into a raffle box. You don't know what will come up!

[:o)]Open the "new ebay motors" and type studebaker in the search bar. When the resultant window opens, look in the upper right hand quadrant of the page and click on "options". You will be given a menu bar in which you can select "return to the old ebay motors". It's just one more hoop to have to jump through, but it's the only way I have found to get around the stupidity of the new version.[:o)]

Are you sure you are in "My ebay" and logged on as you, on your main page, when you do the conversion?

[:o)]Ok, I just tried it again, and it works for me. Maybe I didn't explain it right. Open the dadgummed new ebay motors page and type in whatever you're looking for in the search bar about middle top of the page. And hit search. Then you'll get a gazillion of whatever you're looking for, but over in the upper right hand quadrant of that page you will see "options". Click on "options" and you'll get a menu which will give you the option to return to the old ebay motors. click on that and it takes a few seconds for it to "think". Then you get the old version of ebay motors and start your search all over again. I just tried it and it works. Good luck.[:o)]

Mark, they allowed the "chosen ones" to test it for a Month or two, I have been avoiding it. Then yesterday they DUMPED it on all of us automatically, and the search function to put it politely, sucks!:(

Also why would you want all those "options", stuff you have looked at etc. taking the left 1/3 of your screen? I went back to the old one, and have a larger viewing area and none of those problems. [^]

I've had few problems with the change myself. But the search function is never going to be perfect, i.e. when I go to "Nash" in eBay Motors, I get around 30 late model cars of all makes because the dealer selling them saw fit to put their location- Nash, TN- in the listing title[}:)][}:)]

I've been having trouble lately when I go to eBay Motors Collector Car page; when I click on a specific make, about half won't load- says something like "must enter at least 2 characters in your search". And when they do load, sometimes you get all years up to current, instead of just older years:(

As for search order, i.e. Oldest first, Ending soonest, etc.- I save them by going to the page, selecting my preference, and then bookmarking that page by itself. I look at all Studes, but for example my Lincoln search is set for 1956-1979 only, Year Increasing.

Hopefully they'll get these bugs ironed out soon[V]

I feel your pain. My brother was complaining last night about all the jeep stuff coming up in his studebaker search. I pointed out that each reference had Commander in it. :(
