So I want to get a new wheel cylinder for my 59 Silver Hawk but AutoZone sells two types and don't know which type I need. They sell a wheel cylinder with heavy duty brakes or a wheel cylinder without heavy duty brakes. How do I know which type I need?

All V8 wheel cylinders are the same and all 6 cyl wheel cylinders are the same for drum brakes. If you have disc brakes then they are different. Try WWW.STUDEBAKERVENDORS.COMMilt

I am sure it is because these non-Stude. Sellers have NO IDEA about the 6 Cyl. vs 8 Cyl. differences, one reason is; they don't know a Champion from a Commander or President, Lark VI from Lark VIII etc.

We have a large, competent, and knowledgeable parts supplier base that usually can get the right part to your door in a day or two. Most of us recommend using them wherever possible.
