Hey there Dudes and Dudettes! I'm looking to buy a Harmonic Balancer Puller for my '56 Golden Hawk. Anyone have one they're no longer using? --Kenny 425-351-2627

I just make do with a regular puller, and some creativity, but its a PITA. I agree, it would be great to have an original one. This should be interesting, in seeing if anyone out there has one for you. If anyone shows up with two, I call dibs on the second one. :)

Amazon has a nice OTC set for under $100. Puller and installer kit. Packard uses a 3/4" 16tpi thread which comes in all the kits, unlike Studebakers odd size.

There are over 20 pages of misc pullers there. Do you have a part number for the kit that will pull the Packard 352's harmonic balancer?

If you look in the '56 Shop Manual, you'll see it's a rather unique puller. So far, I have not seen one advertised that is similar enough to use. Today I did, however, buy some steel materials to try to build my own. My design works perfectly-- at least in my head... We'll see tomorrow how it works in real life!
