I saw that. Looks like the top has been chopped, or is it just me?

I would opine that the cab probably started out as a 36-40 cab forward Stude truck. The general shape of the grille opening and fenders, the air vents, and the headlight mountings look Stude Metro to me. Agree it has been chopped, and the various cab and fender seams have been welded or filled in. The FWD-looking extension under the grille looks weird.

well, whatever it is, it sure has a heap of metal work done to it! The first photo reminds me of an old diesel locomotive. I like...too bad there aren't any photos of the whole rig. cheers, junior

Looking at the pics, I'm wondering how much is metal, and how much is fiberglass? Lots of work been put into this project. A long way to go. As for as the "doohickey" under the grille, at first, I thought "winch," but now I believe it is a pretty neat cover for the cab pivot. Too bad it is listed on craigslist. Ebay would probably be the best way to locate a possible customer for such a small group of potential buyers of an unfinished project this big.

Looking at the photos in the link it appears to be metal work...and lots of it. Was to be a rollback for a Cord...perhaps the builder's $ well has run dry, but doing a full Dick S style of ebay listing would result in more $ being returned to his pocket.

I'd love to see a shot of the rear section but IAC, considering it comes with a roll back, interior and wheels among other accessories, someone is going to get a great project and eventually hauler. Make one wish they were 30 years younger as that would be people/prize magnet at any show. Bob

The gauge cluster is definitely Studebaker, same as my '37 Dictator.
