I'm managing the Hawk Registry that includes 1957-59 Silver Hawks, 1960 Hawks, and 1956 Power and Flight Hawks (collectively short-handed "Hawk Orphans" for their prior lack of a registry).
I was just contacted by a gentleman searching for an old family car - a 1957 Silver Hawk, which he describes as follows:
"1957 Studebaker silver hawk white with red interior that my grandmother took possession of at the Boone Iowa Studebaker dealer in 1957"
I've asked him to scour records for a VIN, and look through photos to pull an old plate. In the meantime, I thought I'd post this to see if it creates a connection with anyone in Iowa, or elsewhere who might have a Silver Hawk sourced from that dealer (he notes that Boone Iowa Studebaker only sold one).
Thanks to anyone that's got info to help this guy sleuth out an old family car.
