  • FS: 1956 STUDEBAKER Transtar pick-up truck

This 1956 Studebaker Transtar 2E-C4 truck has a 259ci V8 with three on the tree & overdrive. Runs very strong and has no trouble keeping up with todays freeway speeds. Paint is 3 years old. Tires are near new. Brakes are in great shape. Rear springs are strong and re-arched three years ago. The Transtar LONGBEDs are 4" wider than the standard Studebaker trucks. You can fit a 4' x 8' sheet in the bed flat and close the gate. Very rust free with great solid floorboards. Originally a southern California car. This year and model was a ONE YEAR ONLY grill & hub caps and I feel the prettiest of the the Stude trucks. If your looking for that unmolested under 10K nice Stude truck, this is it! This is a good solid truck and the only reason I'm selling it is to make more room in the garage and this is the Studebaker that is the least sentimental to me currently. [:I]

    $6000 firm, no deliveries
    Located in Vancouver WA USA
13 miles from PDX (Portland Oregon) International Airport

    EDIT - SOLD! Thank you.

thank you! Matt Brislawn ( a direct Studebaker blood descendant! )

If you don't make a fast sale, let me do my ebay thing on your truck with a 6K reserve and I'll take 25% of any money over the 6K and ebay fees for my commission.

What is the story on the radio plates in the dash?

The custom made Heater and Radio block off plates, tells me that it may have no Heater or Defroster!
