  • Brakes: 56 Power Hawk Brake Drums

Can anyone confirm or deny that a 11 inch non-finned (Canada) brake drum (part# 1558903) will fit my 56 Power Hawk with 259 cu in? The vendor says it will fit 56-66. Thank you and please respond.... Saltman

The non finned V-8 front drums will interchange from 54-66. Some have left hand threads for the lug nuts on the left side. I do not know when Studebaker went to right hand threads all the way around.

Make sure you don't have a finned drum on one side and a non-finned drum on the other side.

The Drums will work just fine on all '54 to '66 V8 Cars.

The Last year for Left Hand Studs was 1957, of course you can use right Hand like Studebaker did in 1958 on your '56 but it will be a constant problem to remind anyone who turns them that the Left Rears are LEFT Hand and the Left Fronts are Right Hand. Hopefully BEFORE they twist them OFF !

Gsalter bought the drums from us. They were NOS drums without the hubs or studs.
