  • '61 color chart

Can anyone tell me where I could find a complete color chart for 1961?
Probably doesn't matter but specifically for a '61 Lark VIII Cruiser.
It was my 1st car and my sister and I can't agree on the specific color.
    thanx

        Welcome to the SDC Forum!
Unless your Cruiser is a late (in the model year) build, the Spring Colors will not be correct.
I worked with a guy that ordered and purchased a new 1961 Cruiser VIII in Flamingo with a Skytop - a nice car.
Is your 1961 Cruiser a 259 cid (standard engine) or 289 cid (optional engine)?
I have owned four 1961 Lark VIII models.

Was 289 option. Neither I or my sister have been able to locate original pics.
We have a whole mess of pics that our parents had that we still have to go thru.
It's one of these 3 colors - desert sand, pearl beige or ermine

Unfortunately it was lent to a relative around '74 for college, who completely destroyed it. it ended up in a junk yard somewhere.
If I was 40 years younger, I'd have gone back for it. REGRETS......... BUT MEMORIES NOT LOST

The 289 cubic inch engine was an option. It will be identified by a 'P' prefix in the engine number.

One can probably rule out 'Pearl Beige', as it was only used as an accent color on the Hawk below the fins for that year.

You are either missing or not showing Desert Sand (no great loss <G>).
