  • Steering: Control Valve

Has anyone used a Mustang control valve on the Studebaker power steering? If you have which year or model do you use? I was told it was same one used on Studebaker.

Not sure about the control valve, but same Eaton pump was used on some FoMoCo cars of the 1960s.

Former Posts here confirmed that the common Ford Control Valve Units DO NOT interchange to Studebaker.

I believe the early Ford Ram, and for sure the Eaton Pump WILL work.

The spool valve is a different size, and there isn't the right end for the Studebaker reach rod. Most of the other parts of the valve can be used for parts to rebuild the proper Stude valve.

I don't need a pump. I am in need of a control valve.
