Other than the paint, I like it. I guess if I was a John Deere fan that truck would be okay. I would be embarrassed to drive that anywhere, but a tractor meet. :o

I won't say if this particular truck was ever painted in a John Deere tractor color combination for a JD dealer, but the build sheet would confirm. (Did JD use a shade of yellow that bright in 1947 when the M-series was in production?)

GM did offer tractor colors for trucks including this example painted Flambeau Red/Sunset Tan for a J.I. Case dealer: http://forum.studebakerdriversclub.com/showthread.php?70217-WANTED-Case-pedal-tractor

Most likely this truck was painted to copy the JD model one .
Richard do you have all the M pickup truck models that were produced ?....,, you'd need a garage bay to store them since there were so many
