Just picked this up at an estate sale for $5.

There is one just like it on eBay, except for by Montgomery Wards on the ID plate and instead of an "S" on the housing it has an early "MW" logo. 64266

Now where are all those electric motors I've passed by at previous estate sales?

Electric Sprayit Company Paint Gun

The matching Air Compressor, also designed by Ronald Manning, seems to have been inspired by one of Buck Rogers' space ships:

Pretty cool find. Does it turn over?

You did good. I usually see then sell for $40 to $50 with the motor.
I have one, but mine is Montgomery Wards.
I haven't looked at it in years, but as I recall, they are a diaphram pump, so may be good for about 35 LBS pressure.

Yes, it does turn over. Makes a good wheezing sound like it will work.
