Eastern Australia is now feeling the rain effects of the ex-cyclone (Hurricane) Debbie. I'm in Brisbane some 700 miles south of where Debbie hit land. Schools are closed in the south east of the state, with many roads flooded, and the worse is yet to come. They are forecasting 500 mm (19 inches) of rain over the next 24 hrs for Brisbane.

I did notice a neighbour two down has been building a rather large boat in his back yard and wondered how he was going to get it out. ;-)

I'm not sure but he is of the Jewish faith and a boat builder :-) The predicted 500mm (19 inches) was exceeded - 749mm (29.5 inches) over 24 hours. !!!!!!
