Following are some how-to's addressing some of the most common questions.

HOW TO INCLUDE A PHOTO IN YOUR POST

First things first, go to your "Settings"...

In the left side menu go to "general Settings"...

Scroll down to the "Miscellaneous Options>Message Editor Interface", select "Enhanced" and click the "Save Changes" button. YOU'LL ONLY HAVE TO DO THIS ONCE

==========================================
TO INSERT A PHOTO FROM YOUR COMPUTER
(Not applicable to the Stove Huggers Forum)

1. Whether initiating a New Post or a Reply, you'll see a line of icons above the text box. Moving your cursor over the icons will tell you what they are. Select the "Insert Image" icon...

2. A box will come up with two tabs. Make sure the "From Your Computer" is selected...

3. Click "Browse" (A) and select the image on your computer you want to use then click "Upload" (B). The picture will appear in your post when you write and submit it. NOTE: If you are creating a very long post that takes more than 15 minutes the system thinks you are inactive and will log you out and you'll lose what you have written. To avoid this write it first in a third party program then copy and paste it into the post.

TO INSERT A PHOTO FROM PHOTOBUCKET (or other external source)
Applicable to all forums including Stove Huggers

1. Like above, click the "Insert Image" icon...

2. Select the "From URL" tab...

3. Get the image URL from your Photobucket or other album(A). It's the address of ONLY the ACTUAL IMAGE not the album! Here's what it looks like for Photobucket users...

4. After inserting the image code, click "Insert Image" (B)

PRIVATE MESSAGES

NOTE: You have a limit of 50 Private Messages including your Inbox AND the Sent Items folder. Once you reach this limit you cannot receive or send PM's until you delete some or all of your received and/or sent PM's. This How-To also covers how to save and delete PM's

When another forum member sends you a Private Message (PM) you access it from the "Notifications" link. If there's a PM for you a number will appear next to the link...

Go to your inbox and select the PM to read it. Below the message is a box to write your reply. If you then click the "Go Advanced" button you'll get some options you may want to use including saving your reply to your "Sent Items" folder and receiving a confirmation when your reply or original PM has been read by its recipient.

TO SAVE AND DELETE PM'S

To easily delete ALL of your PM's go to your Inbox and scroll down to the bottom. If you want to save PM's for future reference first download them to a text file (A). This will be saved on your computer. Then you can simply click "Empty Folder" (B). The "Sent Items" folder works the same way.

To save and/or delete PM's selectively go to your Inbox and check the individual messages. Then click the "Selected Messages" button...

This brings up a number of actions you can take on the selected messages, including downloading them and deletion. Once you select an action click the "Proceed" button.
